A Beach Loft in Margate
Last month, I was invited by the owners of this beautiful beach loft in Margate to photograph it.* As much as I love a hotel experience, a larger space like this is perfect for when you’re travelling with a group. The interiors in the flat are stripped back to reveal the flat’s natural beauty and it’s positioned a few minutes from Margate Old Town (and the beach) so it makes the perfect base for a seaside trip.
The link to the loft is at the end of this post!
things you should know
Price - prices start from £165-£220 per night for the whole flat depending on the day. Despite the “unfinished” appearance, there are lots of details throughout that make the apartment feel luxurious and it sleeps up to 8 people so it’s super affordable
Getting there - it’s a short walk from Margate station so it’s easily accessible via via train. If you’re driving, there’s a car park further up the road too.
In the apartment - the entrance to the flat is a little dark/dull but once you’re upstairs, it really opens up to a beautiful, spacious apartment. It’s fully equipped with everything you’d need for either a short or long stay but a few details that made it special were the books, the incredibly cosy linen bedding and the coffee machine with Grind pods so you get the “home away from home” feeling.
Nearby - it’s a very short stroll from Old Town where you’ll find independent shops, antiques, coffee shops and it’s opposite a large Morrisons where you can top up with groceries for your stay. However, I would say that some of the surrounding area looks tired and neglected, particularly the parts that a couple of the bedrooms look over (albeit this doesn’t take away from the apartment itself!).
I’d recommend for…a large group looking for a short seaside trip.
